Institute of Contemporary Music Performance
Alpha Planning has been working with ICMP since 2013, obtaining the change of use of the building adjacent to their original premises to educational use. This involved obtaining planning permission for the recording studios, live rooms and performance spaces within that building.
In 2020, Alpha Planning obtained further planning permission for the change of use of a public house in Queens Park to educational use, to allow ICMP to grow and contribute to the community.

ICMP Kilburn
ICMP is London's leading music industry education provider and has been developing and delivering contemporary music education for over 30 years.
ICMP has been located within the London Borough of Brent since 2006. Based in Kilburn, the Institute is able to offer a variety of courses (including degrees) to 950 full time students and 250 part time students.

Queen's Park Building
This application included alterations and extensions to the building, in order to provide an additional site to assist the Institute in its growth.
Planning permission was granted for the development, which not only allows ICMP to expand to accommodate a further 400 students, but also to provide facilities for the local community, with a Community Use Agreement in place.

Extra working hours
During the Covid pandemic we secured planning permission for twenty-four hour working for the Institute, which enabled students to catch up on their practical studio time which had been seriously impacted by the Covid restrictions.
